“And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.”
Kahlil Gibran – The Prophet
As the say the road of love may be paved with good intentions, but it is not always smooth. We must stop every now and then to remove some stones from the path, or step cautiously to avoid loves pitfalls. But love can serve as our guide and if we are true to it, love will lead us around all obstacles and on to safer, and even more sacred ground.
For some of us love is beyond our control something bigger and more powerful than we are. Once found, love seems to lead us where it wants to go. Although love can be confusing and even painful at times, as it weaves through our lives, and yet when love is flowing smoothly and effortlessly, there is nothing more enriching.
As love leads us onward in life, different thoughts and questions arise; How do we deal with the disappointments of love? Do men and women differ in notions of love and loving behavior? How can we make love endure? What does it mean to love another person?
To know the triumph and joys of love, is to also know the struggles of the heart. As we examine our life experiences, we also discover the delight that wisdom is also one of the great benefits of loving. While we learn abundantly in the pursuit of love, it is really in the process of love that the most compelling and transcendent learning takes place.
